Watch this video (also below): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YOpbgaABzU
Your "check" for having watched this is that you will need to show me the NOTES you take while watching the video, and complete the short practice questions at the end of the video. This is REQUIRED homework!
Also, make flashcards or a fan-fold of the days of the week, months of the year and date vocabulary. I know we have had a lot of flashcards lately, but now you are done for the rest of the unit (through next Tuesday!) and we have all the words we need so we can just practice and let it all sink in!
If you did not finish these in class, here are the questions. Write them out fully in Spanish, including the years!
1. December 2, 1996
2. January 1, 1975
3. September, 17, 1832
4. July 4, 1776
5. October 10, 1653
6. May 12, 1402
7. June 1, 1968

martes, el 23 de septiembre:
*Complete p. 5 y p. 7 del paquete.
*Study for days of the week, months of the year (and seasons), and how to say the date. Quiz tomorrow!
miércoles, el 24 de septiembre: (due Friday)
*Complete p. 2 from the packet. Remember "Son las dos" = It is 2:00, while "a las dos" = at 2:00. Any times above 30 minutes should be written using the "menos" method to tell how many minutes 'til the next hour. Refer to the video above for review/help if you need it.
*Complete the 1/2 sheet you received in class of practice telling time.
*Study! We will be moving the time quiz to Friday because I feel we need more practice, and the end of unit test will now be next Wednesday.
viernes, el 26 de septiembre:
* Complete page 3. Look over your packet. The only pages you should not have completed by Monday are p. 4 and p. 6 (partner communication activities - we will do in class). Make sure you have completed everything in the packet as they will be turned in for a quiz grade on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
* Please take time this weekend to reflect on what YOU are doing to make sure you are successful in Spanish class, what YOU are doing to help the class (your peers) to make the best use of our class time, and what I can do to help you be more successful. Please come prepared to have a short discussion about this on Monday.
* Study all vocab related to "La Hora" and study your notes on time. Re-watch the video (above) if you still have questions. Our time quiz is Monday!!
